Gloria R. Franz CFP®, CSRIC®
Every client who walks through the door of Franz Tatum Wealth Management arrives with a story—of experience, responsibility, hope, or transition. Some are building wealth for the first time. Some are navigating careers, businesses, or caregiving roles. Others are looking to honor the generations before them or pave a clearer path for those who will follow. What they all share is the desire for guidance designed to support them with dignity, clarity, and respect.
That is where Gloria Franz enters the story.
As founder and president of Franz Tatum Wealth Management, Gloria specializes in supporting clients who want a partner—not a transaction. She works best with those who value collaboration and appreciate an advisor who listens deeply and honors their lived experiences. She proudly serves clients from many diverse backgrounds, including women; Hispanic/Latino and African American families; LGBTQIA+ individuals and couples; blended and multigenerational households; and first-generation wealth builders seeking an inclusive environment where they feel respected and understood.
Gloria guides each relationship through the firm’s signature Peridot Process, a Personal-CFO approach that brings structure to complexity. Rather than overwhelming clients with jargon or fragmented advice, she organizes their financial world into eight interconnected pillars, creating a unified plan that grows and adapts as life evolves. With each step, clients gain greater clarity, stronger confidence, and a roadmap designed around what matters most to them.
Her philosophy is rooted in the belief that wealth is not simply about accumulation it is about empowerment. It is about the parent striving to provide stability, the entrepreneur balancing risk and possibility, the couple blending finances and dreams, or the individual rebuilding after loss or transition. Gloria’s aim is to help clients feel seen, heard, and equipped to make decisions that reflect both their present needs and their future aspirations.
With more than 30 years of experience as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Chartered SRI Counselor™, and Personal CFO, Gloria blends technical expertise with empathy and insight. A lifelong Coachella Valley resident, she brings community leadership, local perspective, and a dedication to responsible, values-aligned investing into every client relationship. Gloria also enjoys a full and connected life with her husband of more than 30 years, their child, four beloved fur babies, and a large extended family who bring joy, grounding, and purpose to her every day.
Clients often describe working with Gloria as grounding. She listens with intention, explains with clarity, and offers guidance that fits the real world not a theoretical one. Whether navigating milestones, preparing for uncertainty, managing transitions, or pursuing meaningful impact, she serves as a valued advocate at every turn.
At its heart, Gloria’s work is about partnership—helping clients organize their financial lives so they can live more fully, give more intentionally, and move forward with purpose.

Nila L. Tatum ChFC®, CSRIC®
Nila Tatum’s career in financial services began in 1982, when she entered the industry with a natural curiosity, a strong work ethic, and a desire to help people feel more confident about their financial lives. Over more than 40 years, that desire has grown into the foundation of her professional purpose.
Early in her career, clients were drawn to Nila’s steady presence and her ability to make complex financial topics feel understandable. As she advanced through EF Hutton, Smith Barney, and Merrill Lynch, and later became Vice President of Franz Tatum Wealth Management, she noticed a common theme: clients didn’t just seek answers—they sought reassurance, clarity, and a valued partner who would help them make thoughtful decisions for themselves and their families. They relied on her experience to evaluate their financial choices, help coordinate communication among their advisors, and prepare for the long-term needs of their loved ones.
Central to Nila’s approach is a belief that everyone deserves the confidence that comes from understanding their financial world and having a clear plan for the future. This purpose shapes the way she begins each client relationship—by first understanding what matters most. She takes time to learn about a client’s goals, responsibilities, values, and long-term vision before offering guidance or solutions.
As a woman in the profession, Nila understands the importance of being heard and respected. This perspective influences the way she works with clients across a wide range of backgrounds, including women; Hispanic/Latino and African-American families; LGBTQIA+ individuals and couples; blended and multigenerational households; and first-generation wealth builders. She approaches every relationship with care, curiosity, and respect for cultural identity and personal history. Many clients share similar hopes: supporting their families, building meaningful lives, and preserving a legacy that reflects their values. Nila supports these goals with empathy and intention.
To provide clarity and structure, Nila uses The Peridot Wealth Process, a proven and proprietary planning framework developed by the firm. Inspired by the qualities associated with the Peridot stone—prosperity, insight, and harmony—the process brings organization and purpose to a client’s financial world. Through thoughtful discovery, collaborative design, and ongoing guidance, Nila helps clients integrate their goals, values, and responsibilities into a coordinated long-term plan.
Her professional knowledge is supported by the Chartered Financial Consultant™ (ChFC™) and Chartered Sustainable, Responsible, and Impact Investment Counselor™ (CSRIC®) designations. She maintains multiple FINRA securities registrations—Series 7, 8, and 63 through LPL Financial and Series 65 through WCG Wealth Advisors—and holds a California insurance license. These credentials reflect her commitment to professional excellence and continuous learning.
Outside of her professional work, Nila is deeply involved in her community. She has supported organizations such as AYSO Palm Springs, the Boys & Girls Club of Palm Springs, Palm Springs High School Athletics, and the Rancho Mirage Woman’s Club, where she has served in multiple leadership positions. She is also a graduate of Leadership Coachella Valley, Class of 2015.
Family remains at the center of Nila’s life. Married since 1976, she is the mother of three daughters, grandmother to four, and “mom” to her Rottweilers. Her values—responsibility, care, and long-term commitment—guide the way she serves her clients and her community.
Securities Licenses: Series 7/8/63 securities registrations held through LPL Financial. Series 65 registration, held through WCG Wealth Advisors.
