Biographies

GLORIA R. FRANZ is the President and Registered Principal of Franz Tatum Wealth Management and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM. She has been in the financial services industry for over 22 years and is a life long resident of the Coachella Valley. She has attended College of the Desert and California State University of San Bernardino, and has completed the financial planning certification program through the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (www.cfp.com).
 
Financial planning is an ever evolving part of our life and as such a trusted adviser is an important part of the plan. Gloria believes in providing her clients with life long, sound financial advice to help enhance and maintain their lifestyle. Wealth management involves not only investing, but risk management and encompassing the family unit as a whole. With this in mind the advisers at Franz Tatum Wealth Management believe in creating a roadmap to guide their clients on their journey to financial independence. Financial independence will allow them to see their dreams become a reality.
 
She is firmly committed to enhancing the quality of life in the Coachella Valley, through community involvement. She is currently actively involved with The GFWC~Woman’s Club of Indio (Past President), the Indio Sunrise Rotary Club (President 2009-2010)and the Indio Chamber of Commerce (www.indiochamber.org). Gloria also has the distinguished honor of being a graduate of the 2002-2003 Leadership Coachella Valley program. This program looks to enhance the leadership skills of local professionals (.www.leadershipcv.org). As of February 2008 she is also a proud board member of the Coachella Valley History Museum (www.coachellavalleymuseum.org).
 
Her greatest joy has been and is her family. She has been married to Ruben A. Franz, for over fourteen years and their daughter Sophia is eight years old and the light of their lives.

NILA L. TATUM is the Vice President of Franz Tatum Wealth Management, NPC and is a CFP Candidate completing her studies through Kaplan University and is currently completing a designation of CHfc through American College. She has been in the financial services industry for more than 28 years, starting her career with EF Hutton and eventually leaving Smith Barney for Merrill Lynch prior to the formation of Franz Tatum Wealth Management, NPC. Within those 28 years, Nila spent 18 of those years in management.

Nila has a strong belief that any investment begins with a plan or a road map with specific goals in mind, whether that is wealth accumulation, income for retirement, educational needs or passing of wealth from one generation to another.   By creating a road map, it allows us to track our progress, to make sure we are on the proper course or if we need to make a detour due to unavoidable changes, we still have a specific goal we are working for.
 
Community involvement is very important to Nila, especially when it comes to support of children. She has been on the board and registrar for AYSO Palm Springs, a supporter of Boys and Girls Club of Palm Springs, volunteered with Palm Springs High School Athletics primarily with the Girls Soccer and Girls Basketball. She is currently a Director on the board of the Rancho Mirage Woman’s Club, a member of the Friends of the Coachella Valley Boys and Girls Club and a Rotarian with the Palm Springs Sunrise Rotary Club.
 
Family is very important to Nila, she has been married to Terry D. Tatum for more than 33 years and is the proud mother of their three daughters, Shakira, Tanisha and Savanja and the Grandmother of three fabulous grandsons Jadin age 9, Kieran age 4 and Tatum age 1. They are definitely Grandma’s pride and joy.

KRISTIN BLOOMER is a Registered Associate at FRANZ TATUM WEALTH MANAGEMENT, NPC. She is dedicated to providing excellent client service to help our clients navigate the financial world.   Kristin is a cum lade graduate from Boston University and she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics.  Kristin is married to Jefisian Dos Santos and they have one son named Tyler.  Kristin returned to the Coachella Valley with her family after graduating from Boston University and is now active in the local community.  She is a member of the Palm Springs SunUp Rotary Club and a volunteer coach at Palm Springs High School, her alma mater.  She began working in the financial services industry in 2007 in the Coachella Valley.
